DALLAS, Oct. 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Delta Companies (TDC)’s Board of Directors announced that effective January 1, 2017, Bill Tracewell will lead the company as Chief Executive Officer. Tracewell will succeed Jeff Bowling, who has led the organization for 20 years and created a leading staffing firm for healthcare professionals nationwide.
As the new CEO, Tracewell will continue TDC’s momentum and growth, leveraging his 15 years of healthcare staffing expertise and leadership working with Bowling. During his tenure at TDC, Tracewell has fulfilled several roles, including physician recruiter, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
“Bill is a quiet but determined proven leader in healthcare staffing, who we have worked with for the past 2 years since Mitsui’s investment in TDC in 2014. Bill has a wealth of knowledge of TDC, and is a person of integrity,” commented Seiki (Stan) Hirota, Chairman of the Board, The Delta Companies. “Bill has demonstrated character and competence and will be an excellent leader for the company going forward as we continue to strengthen the culture, business model and legacy, which Jeff built since the inception of TDC.”
“I am excited and honored to be given this opportunity,” Tracewell said. “Under Jeff’s leadership, The Delta Companies has seen amazing success through the years and we look to continue that success as we enter the next chapter in the evolution of our company.”
Bowling will continue to maintain an active role within the organization, and will hold a position on the Board of Directors. He started TDC in 1997 and grew the company from a three-person operation specializing in physician retained search, to an award-winning locum tenens, allied travel, and retained healthcare search company with 255 internal employees and revenues in excess of $100 million in 2016.
Today, TDC is recognized as one of the largest staffing firms in the U.S., and over the years has earned awards for performance, growth, and customer service, as well as multiple “Best Places to Work” awards, numerous advertising awards, the ASA Care Award, and has helped company members raise almost $730K the past nine years for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Bowling has been instrumental in the company’s continued success since it was acquired in 2014 by Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
“Bill has the skill and drive necessary to compete in this space,” Bowling said. “Our customers and the great people of TDC are going to have an unparalleled advantage with Bill and Mitsui driving future success.”
